I have a 1955, with 331 motor and 390 heads on it. I was looking at the sanderson CAD391 headers. I am wondering if they would fit into the other wise stock engine compartment, without modifying for the steering gear box or center support. Has anyone used this brand or tried this in a stock engine bay? I know I will need to make a generator bracket, but that does not worry me. :jack: Thanks, G

well the 1960 exhaust manifolds do not fit in the 1955 engine bay. Drivers side hits steering box and passenger side hits a arm bolts. I hate to go back to the restrictive 331 exhaust manifolds. G :bs:

Wonder if the 56 365 manifolds are any better than the 331's? I would ASSume that 56 would be close enough to fit?

The 56 - 365 header works for the passenger side but not the drivers side as the steering box is in the way.
