I just got off the phone with my cousins that live north of Toronto. They said it was -38° so they were not going out to celebrate the new year.
It always gets cold up north. It down south where it almost never freezes that things are getting interesting.
Heard this morning that it was -41*C (-42*F) in Lac Benoit Quebec at 10:00 AM. That's without any wind effects factored in. Brrrrrrrr!
Hey down here in southern Texas on New Year's day we had 28 degrees (F) and light snow. Today we are looking at 65 degrees. Go figure.
In the Korean War, we called those days as brass monkey temps..
Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey.
Bill and Peter have it right! It is THAT darned Cold - brass monkey or otherwise!!
Greg, thats how it is around here normally. If you dont like the weather give it an hour and it will change. Especially if im fishing.
It's raining here now. Temperature is above freezing. The brass monkey is getting a bath.
Yo yo weather.
It's 41 degrees and the sun is streaming into the garage. The temperature is up and down like a ho's panties on pay day.
I've run the Ventura for 20 minutes and all is well.
